To reach out to priests, pastors, rabbis, and mosque leaders who may have
undocumented members in their congregations.
Assist them in advocating for the DREAM Act.
Encourage them to raise awareness of the DREAM Act among their
congregations and to support the DREAM Act by organizing rallies,
fundraisers and events.
Religious advocacy
On
December 14, a group of religious leaders held a prayer summit and “Jericho
March” on Capitol Hill to urge senators to vote in favor of a bill that would
provide a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants who were brought into
the country by their parents and who go on to post-secondary education or
military service.
